Why pre-designed covers?
There's something to be said for 'what you see is what you get'. You don't have to hold your breath and hope that the final result is going to be what you envisaged. There's no back and forth of hoping to get it right the next time. There is no disappointment with a premade cover. You see a beautiful, eye-catching cover that fits your story, and there you have it.
Premade covers also usually cost less, because there's less time involved in coming up with that very specific theme or idea.
But aren't pre-designed covers lesser quality?
Not at all. Considering that designers of custom covers also usually create pre-designed covers, and the fact they use the same stock photography sites, lower quality is not usually the case. Of course, with any designer, you would check their past designs for quality and decide for yourself.
Starcrossed covers are premium covers, artworks that can take many hours to perfect. A Starcrossed cover is never posted for sale unless I would be 100% thrilled to use it on my own books!
